Gruffalo Granny at the British Library!

Miss Duncan, our Literacy Lead, took a small group of pupils to the British Library for a very special event. We were incredibly lucky to see the Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler in person, as they brought their much-loved book, The Gruffalo, to life on stage! It was amazing to watch them perform their famous story live in the theatre, giving us a wonderful opportunity to see the creative minds behind such a beloved book. Julia then delighted us by reading her brand-new book, 'Gruffalo Granny,' which was very exciting to hear first-hand! We also enjoyed watching some pupils ask Julia and Axel questions about their work before taking part in a fantastic draw-along session with Axel Scheffler. Seeing two such inspirational and talented authors and illustrators live was an unforgettable experience, and we feel incredibly grateful to have been given this wonderful opportunity.
