We have been incredibly busy since we came back to school after the Easter holidays & we have been having so much fun in class!

Check out some of our work from this week…

Maths

We started off our week by practising our counting forwards and backwards within 50 in 1’s, 2’s 5’s & 10’s & we then moved onto finding one/ten more/less of a given number. We finished off the week with lots of practical work to help us partition numbers within 50 using Dienes and counters and then writing stem setences to help us understand the values we had represented.

We even managed to start looking at partitioning a number into different combinations.

This would be great to ask your Lorikeet to practise at home!

Topic- Street Detectives

In our new topic we have been exploring the UK, London and some of the countries within Europe.

We have identified some of London’s landmarks and created brilliant skylines using pastels.

I wonder if you can spot any of these landmarks walking down Haverstock Hill…

It’s been a brilliant week Lorikeets, see you next week after the Bank Holiday!
