The school day starts at 9am and finishes at 3.30pm.
All children can go to their classes from 8.40am.
Registration is at 9.00am; children who arrive after this time must report to the office and will be marked in as late.
Morning playtimes
KS2 children have morning break 10.50am – 11.05am.
KS1 and Reception 10.30am-10.45am.
Lunch
Reception and KS1 have their lunch at 12.00pm and their break ends at 1.00pm.
Y3 – Y6 children have their lunch at 12.30pm and their break ends at 1.30pm
Afternoon playtimes:
Reception and KS1 may have an afternoon playtime, 2.15-2.30pm
Drop-off and collection
We operate a ‘Soft Start’ at the beginning of the school day from 8.40am to ensure to give all children ample time to get settled and prepare for the day ahead. Parents are encouraged to drop their children either at the School Gate or in the playground, no further than the white line for KS1 and KS2.
EYFS parents and carers are asked to pick up the children from the classrooms.
KS1 and KS2 children should be picked up from the allocated line in the playground. Please ensure that your child has been dismissed by their class teacher before leaving.
If normal arrangements for home time collection have to be altered (eg you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let the office know. This avoids any confusion or upset.
Getting to school
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option where possible!
However, if you are travelling by public transport please leave enough time to allow for delays, so that your child is in school on time.
We expect our school community to show consideration to our neighbours and ask that if you use a car to travel to school, you park responsibly. Please do not park in front of the school gates, this is an emergency exit/entrance, or in Aspern Grove which is private residential parking only.
