Condors have been using Kagan structure, Rally Coach, to practise calculation methods. Working in pairs, we have been coaching our ‘shoulder buddies’, demonstrating using the column method for addition and decomposition. We have to talk our partners through the method explaining each stage. If our partner struggles, we ‘Tip Tip Teach’ them. How did you and your ‘shoulder buddy’ do?
This was fun, working in pairs, taking turns coaching each other on how to do certain skills in math.
I find it quite hard to teach Maja because I know how to do it so I find it hard to teach it. ?
To teach is to learn twice over 🙂
I think Hattie did a great job coaching me even though it was hard for both of us as we knew the method by heart
