Rosary RSHE Policy 2021
Did you know that reading at home with your child is the single most effective thing you can do to improve their education?! As teachers, so often we are asked “what should we be reading”, “how do we read with our children?” and “what questions do we ask?”
So we created ‘Rosary Reads’ to help with this! A wonderful booklet written by staff at Rosary School personally recommending books for every age and taste based on our experiences as readers and teachers!
Many of you asked for another copy to be available online so here it is…ENJOY & HAPPY READING!

COVID Catch-Up Strategy
The school’s Covid-19 Catch-up strategy is targeted at those children for whom not being at school had the greatest impact. This may include those in receipt of the Pupil Premium fund, those that have / had a social worker attached to their family or those who we know have struggled disproportionately in relations to their peers.
The Education Endowment Foundation has provided research-based strategies on how best to support vulnerable pupils. This guidance has been the starting point for our catch-up strategy.
Please see the Covid Catch-Up Plan which outlines how we plan to spend the catch-up premium and which interventions we will put into place.
Achieve Arts Drama Club ONLINE!
Achieve Arts – the Drama Club that many of our Rosary children have enjoyed this term – is going online !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Here is what they have to say…
We are so excited to announce we will be teaching one to one online sessions in Acting, Public Speaking and Verse & Prose via the Zoom App. ⭐️⭐️
Click on to our website and book your child’s one to one session today!! In our virtual classes, we will work on vocal techniques, tongue twisters, scenes, poems, games and exercises with weekly tasks to inspire, excite and engage our students until their next session. We will email over the material to you before the session so your child has all the resources needed to get the most out of their class . For those wishing to work towards taking a LAMDA examination, we will work on the LAMDA syllabus giving them all the tools to Achieve their best. In each session, we will build on characterisation, vocal skills and public speaking skills, Allowing our children and young people to gain a sense of positivity, achievement and enjoyment through these troubling times. This is our main goal!
Our weekly classes are wonderful and these online sessions are a new adventure for us all and we can’t wait to continue the amazing work of our current students and meet new ones too!!
THIS IS OPEN TO EXISTING AND NEW MEMBERS OF THE DRAMA CLUB!
