Today we celebrated World Book Day!
We dressed up as book characters from some of our favourite books and participated in a wide range of book-related activities. First, we watched a video hosted by four famous authors giving us an insight into the inspiration behind their books and setting us some riddle and rhyming challenges. This fuelled our interest in solving mysteries and adding humour into our writing. The authors (Ben Bailey Smith, Sharna Jackson, Sophie McKenzie & Rashmi Sirdeshpande) have also all got £1 books available to purchase with our World Book Day tokens. In the afternoon, we wrote some of our own imaginative stories and letters to our favourite authors, and designed book covers and book marks. You can see some of our work in the photos below.
