Today, Flamingos were visited by a special scientist from the Francis Crick Institute.

Together with Ellie, we learnt about the bones in our body and conducted an experiment to investigate whether having longer femur (thigh) bones makes you better at long jump. We gave our predictions and wondered if having shorter femur bones made you better at the limbo, and if longer femur bones made you a better long jumper. We then carried out our experiment and collected our results. After that, we had a “mystery bag” investigation. Each bag had a different object to do with bones or tools to do with bones. We used our sensory skills to guess what might be inside the bags.
