Reception were excited to have Fr Andrew visit us this morning to introduce and help explain our new RE learning topic, “The Church”. He explained that there are different types of families, and the Church is our very big family, with God as everyone’s father! We had fun learning the hand gestures for “Here is the church, here is the steeple, open the doors and there are the people!”
He also answered some very interesting questions from the children, “How did God make the world?”, “What is Holy Communion?”, “Why did the Holy Spirit come down as fire at Pentecost?”. We have some very clever and inquisitive children in reception, and Fr Andrew was very impressed!
