Today, performed our persuasive speeches to convince others to stop deforestation and protect the rainforest.
First, we discussed what makes an effective speaker. We looked at how to project our voices, use expression and manage our body language and maintain eye contact. We practised our speeches at our tables and then performed in front of the class. One member of the class was our “coach” who gave constructive feedback at the end. It was a great chance to build confidence and practise our public speaking.
