This morning, the Reception parents and Miss Liddell had a fantastic time learning all about phonics! Phonics is a crucial part of early reading and it was so amazing to see so many parents wanting to learn more about it.
The aims of the session was to focus on the pronunciation of each sound in each phase and how to support children with reading and writing at home. We had a go at sounding some words out using the sounds we had learned and I have to say, We were pretty good at it!
