Recently we have been exploring measures in maths! This has involved measuring different fruits by weight and ordering them by size when we were learning about Handa’s surprise. We also looked at ourselves and arranged ourselves from tallest to shortest and found some of us are the same height! We had a look at non standardised measurement and used our toys to measure how many toys “long” we were. Lastly we looked at capacity – exploring the concepts of ‘full’ ‘half full’ and ’empty’.
