In Lorikeet class all we can talk about is Julia Donaldson! She is our favourite author at the moment.
We have been sharing all our favourite stories in groups. Some we know really well and some not at all!
We have had such fun listening to our friends read and reading aloud to them…
Some of our favourites include The Highway Rat, The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo Child, Room on the Broom and The Troll.
However, our real class favourite is The Snail and the Whale! We have been focusing on this text in class and the work we have done is AMAZING!
One piece of work we are really proud of is our group art piece. We all worked together so well….

What a lovely whale Lorikeets! I absolutely love this story! I love all Julia Donaldson stories but my favourite is probably “Superworm”!
I hope you have had a chance to read The Smartest Giant in Town as that is my favourite Julia Donaldson book. I think the giant is one of the kindest characters I have ever come across. If you haven’t read it yet, we have it next door if you would like to come and borrow it.
