Last half term Kingfishers went on a fabulous trip to the House of Illustration. Before visiting the museum, we had a walk around St Martins Art College in Granary Square. The buildings were really interesting so we spent some time doing some ‘urban sketching’. At the House of Illustration the children took part in an exciting workshop. They learnt how to create atmosphere and mood through illustration. We were all given a story to portray through the media of paint. The paintings the children did were wonderful!
