Today, we went to the CLC and created our own films using stop motion animation.

Yesterday, we designed our own rainforest characters and backgrounds to use in our films. Then, at the CLC, Mary taught us about stop motion animation. We learnt that you need 12 frames in 1 second of animation and that you could only move the characters a little bit each time you took the picture otherwise it would look as if they were “teleporting”! We had a practise first before creating our own films based on The Great Kapok Tree. We used speech bubbles and thought bubbles to add more information to our films, and added a title, credits and music using iMovie at the end.

What a super day we all had at the CLC! I was so impressed with flamingos focus learning how to produce and direct their own movies. Your enthusiasm for learning was infectious. Well done flamingos!👍😀
