Today, we had a fantastic trip to London Zoo.
To complement our learning all about the rainforest, we went to London Zoo to visit the animals and participate in a Rainforest Explorer workshop. We arrived early and toured around some of the animals before the workshop. Then, we listened to a talk about the tropical rainforest and how to protect it, and demonstrated our existing knowledge of the world around us. We were given thermometers and binoculars to explore the rainforest exhibit and saw a range of animals including two-toed sloths and spider monkeys. After the workshop, we continued to visit the other animals in the zoo, such as the penguins, lions, butterflies and of course the flamingos! It was a great day overall and we had beautiful sunshine.
The zoo was fantastic! I had a great time.
