Kingfishers were very lucky to enjoy a special lesson on Sacraments with our school priest Father Andrew. The lesson took place in St. Dominic’s Priory. Father Andrew explained that a Sacrament is a material action through which God acts. We recapped the seven Sacraments and got to look at the material symbols associated with some. We looked at the three Sacred Oils and discussed which Sacraments they are used in and why. We also explored the focal point of the Altar and why it is such a special space. Father Andrew also explained the importance of the Pascal Candle and the Baptismal Font.

Quiz us on our learning by asking us:

What are the two Sacraments of service?

What are the names of the three Sacred Oils?

Where do people confess?
