On Wednesday, we had our first visit to St. Dominic’s Priory Church where Father Oliver talked to us about the significance of the Rosary and why it is such an important part of our local church. He took us to see the statues of Mary and explained their symbolic significance, which is especially relevant in October. He even brought us ‘behind the scenes’ to show us parts of the church we never see, including trick doors and secret cupboards. We had a lovely visit and used all our new learning in class already, today we explored the stages of baptism and many of us quickly linked it back to our time around the baptismal font yesterday. We are already looking forward to our next visit with Father Oliver, who was a wonderful host.

  1. That was fun

  2. I loved the trip because I learnt about Jesus

  3. I loved the garden especially the flowers because they were all different colours. I also liked the statues inside the church.
