What a wonderful day we all had at the zoo yesterday! We started our morning travelling to the zoo with Duckilings Class, this was so exciting as earlier this year we learnt all about buses!
Once we arrived we set off on an adventure to find our favourite animals! We saw tigers, penguins, butterflies, lions, flamingos and monkeys! It was so lovely to walk around the zoo as it wasn’t too busy and the rain held off all day, we were very lucky!
After lunch we set off on the Nativity Trail. First we met the Wise Men who showed us the amels on which they had travelled to Bethlehem to find baby Jesus. Then we followed a star all the way to a stable where we met Mary and Jesus. The stable was surrounded by twinkling lights and we softly sung Twinkle Twinkle to Jesus to help him fall back to sleep. Our Nativity Trail ended by citing the shepherds who were very funny!
Our day finished with a magical trip Santa’s Grotto! He told us all about the different places around the world that he visits on Christmas Eve! He also told us about all the different animals and where in the world they are from! Santa thought we were so well behaved he sent us with a treat for every single Reception child! I think we might all be on the Nice List this year!
Of course our lovely trips wouldn’t be possible without all the parents who offer their time to assist us! We hope you enjoyed hearing all about our lovely trip, we are already excited for our next one!
