This week, lots of parents from both Reception classes attended the Phonics workshop. Everyone became a Phonics Hero! We had lots of fun using our listening ears to differentiate between sounds as well as learning how to use our robot arms when sounding out words. We also learnt how to pronounce each sound correctly so that we can support the children with their early reading development. Phase 1, 2 and 3 were covered this week and after Christmas, Phase 4 and 5 shall be looked at. Reception parents, please come along so as not to miss out on this incredibly important and useful session.
