Food Revolution!


On Friday, the Eagles took part in Food Revolution Day. At the end of Healthy Schools week, we prepared ‘Tomato and Basil Salad with Creamy Fish Dip’. After this experience we’re looking forward to Bellevue being completed so we can prepare more culinary delights! Think about some of the ingredients we used. What benefits do they have for our health?

  1. Garlic contains vitamin C and sometimes it can be healthy for people. But don’t eat too much of it because your breath might stink!!!!?

  2. Olive oil is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids and is a major component of the Mediterranean diet. It has vitamins. Olive oil has vitamin k and vitamin E.

    Olives are healthy because they contain a great source of vitamin E. Another thing it does is protect cell membranes against diseases like cancer and they also controls blood pressure.

  9. Basil is herb which is maily used as seasoning in cooking with lots of health benefits. It reduces stress and has a calming effect on our stomach. Basil can help level out blood sugar and tea of dried Basil leaves help to reduce cough and cold.
