Today we learned all about our new Pope Leo XIV. We learned that the Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church and that he is Jesus’s helper here on Earth. We learned that yesterday Pope Leo XIV gave his first speech as Pope to the people from his balcony at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. We talked about how the Pope shares Jesus’s love.
We took turns role playing as the Pope and standing on our own balcony, sharing kind words and hopes for the future, just as Pope Leo XIV did.
