On a bright summer morning, the Lorikeets Class lit up the hall with their brilliant class assembly, bringing their learning to life through performance, music and storytelling.

The assembly was based on this term’s topic, Street Detectives, and showcased the children’s knowledge of the United Kingdom, their exploration of Camden, and the important theme of Dignity from Catholic Social Teaching.

With humour, confidence and creativity, the Lorikeets took their audience on a whistle-stop tour of the UK—introducing famous landmarks with fun facts and lively performances. They proudly shared their learning from Literacy, RE and PSHE, including reflections inspired by the book Our Tower by Joseph Coelho.

A particularly moving moment came as each child proudly shouted out their heritage or the place they call home, celebrating the wonderful diversity of the class. The performance concluded with a heartfelt rendition of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman, leaving not a dry eye in the house.

The KS1 team were incredibly proud of the Lorikeets for their enthusiasm, teamwork and courage on stage. It was a true celebration of community, creativity and the power of young voices.

Well done, Lorikeets!
