In the first week of term we created the first layer of our print project, by using our hands as stamps to print a backdrop in paint.
In the second week of term, we collected leaves and explored texture by using wax crayons to do rubbings of them and stuck them in our art books.
In the third week of term, we practiced our observational drawing skills and visited local plants in the sun and drew them.
This week, we drew leaves on pieces of foam in pencil and then indented them with our pencils and cut them out to create stamps. Then we used black ink and rollers to cover our leaf stamps and printed on top of our hand print backgrounds.
Next week, we are going to add a further layer of decoration with flower line drawings to complete our masterpieces!
