Our chicks are beginning their journey towards developing their mark making and early writing skills. In order to do this, they need to develop a strong pincer grip. The activities that they enjoy in Nursery can also be enjoyed at home.
This week our chicks were using tweezers to transfer evil peas into a bag, ( keep him safely locked away)! They also rolled their own peas out of green playdoh which helps to exercise their finger muscles. Any activities that use fine motor tools such as scissors, tweezers, playdoh and clay can all help your child to develop the vital skills they need to develop their mark making. Have fun!
