Lorikeets and Condors Learn Together Through Maths Games
On Friday afternoons, the Lorikeets in Year 1 and the Condors in Year 6 have been coming together to play fun and exciting maths games. This special time has helped students from different year levels learn from each other while enjoying maths.
During the sessions, students have played games such as Sum and Difference and Swappy Strips. These games have helped the Lorikeets practise learning their doubles, while the Condors supported them by using their addition and subtraction skills.
Everyone has had so much fun working as a team, sharing ideas, and helping each other solve problems. The older students enjoyed being leaders and role models, and the younger students loved learning alongside their big buddies.
These Friday afternoon maths sessions have been a great way to learn, play, and build friendships across year levels.
