I warmly invite you to use our website as a window through which to view our wonderful, Catholic primary school. Rosary School is a place where the Catholic ethos is evident and experienced by all who enter.

I am privileged and proud to be head of a school where governors, staff, parents, carers and children work together in partnership to meet the challenges and opportunities of our mission to

Build God’s family of loving and learning.

Our school is proud of its strong community. We value our partnership with parents/carers, the parishes we serve and the wider community. We acknowledge the crucial role played by our parents/carers as an integral part of our school community and appreciate their involvement in the life and work of the school. We are a school, a church community and a family, promoting the core Gospel values of compassion, respect for self and others, responsibility and honesty. We share a vision for each child to be cherished and have the best opportunities for an excellent education and a happy and productive time in these most formative primary school years. We aim to be a place where we help children to make long-lasting friendships and magical memories through a creative and inspiring curriculum.

We are a school offering creativity and enjoyment in learning and teaching, a place where every child matters, making a positive contribution to the service of others. We promote an inclusive curriculum, delivered by caring, highly skilled and professional staff.

We encourage the full potential of every person by providing a safe and secure environment which places Christ at the centre of every aspect of school life. We aim to build warm and positive relationships with parents and others we work with to enable us to work together to prepare children to provide a service to society as good Catholic citizens

We aim to foster a love of learning in our children to allow every child to work to the best of their ability. We strive for excellence in all that we do. We are currently developing our buildings and the curriculum to make school even more purposeful, enjoyable and relevant for the children while at the same time establishing rigour and high expectations.

We hope that, by the time the children leave the Rosary School they will have embraced all of the wonderful opportunities available to them and will have achieved the very best of which they are capable. They will have enjoyed their time at the Rosary and developed self confidence and independence.

We will have helped them to learn the skills and attitudes necessary to take on the new and exciting challenges of secondary school and to become responsible, aware citizens in our multicultural society.

I hope you see the Rosary School as a family, where every child matters and a community that celebrates each individual’s contribution.

I warmly invite you to visit our lovely school and see, at first hand, our mission manifest by our community.

With every best wish,

Sophie Kennedy

Head Teacher.
