Our new Science topic in year three is ‘Living Things and Their Habitats’, so we took the opportunity to visit the Education Center at the Heath for a session on CLASSIFICATION. The children learned about the importance of classification and how to do it. After that, our lovely workshop leaders let us find our own minibeasts that would could practice our new methods of classification on, to discover the minibeast’s name! We even developed our own classification keys, which required a lot of initiative! Another important thing we learned, was how to respect living things and their environments. The Flamingos were excited to explore the wonderful wildlife, but still operated with complete care for the animals and their homes. IMG_0778 IMG_0779 IMG_0780 IMG_0781 IMG_0782 IMG_0783 IMG_0784
