In Science, we learned about the components and function of blood in our bodies. We discovered that blood is made up of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and plasma. We also explored the different functions of these components. We found out that red blood cells carry oxygenated and deoxygenated blood around the body. White blood cells fight infection. Platelets clot blood and plasma is used to transport these important components around the body. We had lots of fun making the blood in the classroom. Can you think of any other facts about the blood? Leave your comments below.
