This month we will be learning some phrases in Greek!

At the Rosary, we are so lucky to have such a diverse range of children and staff from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. This month, we will be learning Greek which is spoken by Miss Stefanou and her family who are from Cyprus. The Pufflings have challenged our school to write our own names in Greek using the alphabet found below.

Watch the video to find out more and make sure you teach these key phrases to your friends and family at home.

Good morning: “kah-li-me-ra”

Hello: “yah-sou”

My name is: “meh-leh-na”

Wow! What a fantastic job you have done Pufflings! Well done for pronouncing the words so clearly. I can’t wait to practise Greek with Flamingos.

We had so much fun! Can’t wait to see everyone writing their names!
