Last week we had the pleasure of going to the Secret Garden of Hampstead Heath. Here, we were taken back to the Stone Age! We looked at artefacts that told us how people back then would have lived. We even learned some basic skills for survival! We learned about fire safety and what 3 things are needed for a fire. We then had a go at creating a spark and lighting our own kindling using flint and steel. We also had a go at making a wooden shelter. We had to find a suitable tree and arrange the branches in the right way to create a covered space. Thankfully we did as it started to drizzle!
