Macaws explored a tricky new concept today which involves using lot’s of elements of our math’s knowledge at one time. We were adding ones by bridging ten, which involves knowing our number bonds to ten, multiples of ten and partitioning a one digit number. 

We explored this learning in concrete today, this meant we used counters to help us partition, we had some lovely rests at our cafe numbers and made sure we found our answer by adding on the remaining ones. Have a look at some of our lesson below.
