It is true. We have some avid readers in year 3!

The transition to KS2 can be a little tricky as children come to learn what is expected of them and what parts of school life they need to take responsibility for. So it is wonderful to see so many children getting into the routine of changing their own classroom books, and also making meaningful choices on our weekly visit the Library. Even better, these same children are reading at home EVERY night and getting a parent to sign their reading diary.

Thank you to all parents/carers for supporting reading at home- you make such a difference, and the children love it! At school, we love hearing book reviews from children and tales of precious family reading time. Who will be the first to get a caterpillar certificate?!

Keep it up year 3, you are amazing!

You are right, Ben! Reading is something I choose to do in my spare time. A good book can take me back in time or to a different place in the world. It is fantastic!
