Winston Branch studied art at The Slade School of Fine Art, University College London, UK, and at The British School at Rome, Italy. He was a professor of art at the University of California and Kansas State University and also taught at The Slade, Chelsea Art School, Kingston Art School, and Goldsmith’s, all in London.
He was born in St Lucia, West Indies and then has spent his career living across the world.
We discussed what the colours and shapes could represent in this painting of his (the sand, the sea, the sun rising) and then created our own versions!
