On Monday night our year 5 Football team we’re invited down to Haverstock Hill Secondary School to take part in a mixed 6 aside Competition against schools around Camden. The team were very excited upon arrival and were brilliant Rosary Ambassadors throughout the evening. The team walked away from their matches with 2 convincing wins, 1 draw and 1 loss to a very strong side.
AJ and Mason led from the front all evening with top notch performances. The duo controlled the games and walked away with enormous goal tallies from the four matches. Princess, Sina and Sonny were brilliant through the midfield all night, providing endless amounts of run which allowed our forwards to have multiple chances in attack. Gracie and Lucas played tough down back, always remaining disciplined to withstand the powerful attacks of some teams. James was strong in goals and never gave up despite the tough conditions and enormous goals.
The player of the night goes to AJ who dismantled the other teams defences with his fancy footwork and powerful right boot. AJ scored an astonishing 7 consecutive goals in one match and finished the evening with 13 to his name- an unbelievable performance.
We look forward to round 2 next Monday night!
