On Wednesday, five children from Key Stage 2 travelled to Westminster Cathedral along with Mrs Browne and Mrs Gorham to represent our school at a special Mass. The Mass was for the Year of Mercy, and a chance for all primary schools in the Diocese to join and celebrate together.

We entered through the ‘Doors of Mercy’. Can you see them in the photo?

Cardinal Vincent Nichols asked us to go back to our schools and help others to live out the Gospel values. He also gave us a prayer to keep on our prayer tables, in our classrooms.

It was a fantastic afternoon, we all felt very proud to be representing the Rosary!

We received a lovely email from the Director of Education for the Diocese of Westminster thanking all schools for our hard work in preparing and attending last week’s Primary Pilgrimage as part of the Year of Mercy to the Cathedral. He spoke of “a wonderful occasion with a real sense of belonging and community in the Cathedral” and said he was very grateful to us for “the effort our outstanding students made”.
