On Thursday 28th April, we entered into the United Kingdom Junior Mathematical Challenge which is a nationwide challenge aimed at pupils in Year 8 or below. The challenge involves answering 25 multiple choice questions in one hour and is sat in school under normal exam conditions. The questions are very challenging and get particularly tough towards the end (when pupils lose marks for guessing!) We wanted to enter (despite it being aimed at a secondary level) and we allowed anyone to have a go! The papers were sent off to be marked by a ‘dumb machine’ (ask your children what this means!) We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we have SIX certificate winners here at Rosary! Well done to our Bronze winners (Aron, Medriana and Alex), our Silver winners (Mateo and Isabelle) and our Gold winner Mathilde who was also awarded ‘Best in School!’
