On Shrove Tuesday, Snowy Owls made waffles. Shrove Tuesday is the last day of feasting before the start of lent on Ash Wednesday. Throughout the centuries Shrove Tuesday has been a tradition for people to use up ingredients that they wouldn’t be allowed to eat during the 40 day period.
Mrs Palmer brought in her waffle maker with whipped cream, Zoe was also kind enough to bring in fruit. Snowy Owls thoroughly enjoyed eating the delicious waffles!
