Pelicans Rocking the Recorder!

This year the Pelicans are learning how to play the recorder with their music teacher Miss Layil. They have only had three lessons but are already sounding very good! So far the children have learnt notes A, B and C and can play the songs ‘Cup of tea’, ‘C Jam blues’, ‘Walking the dog’ and ‘It’s another rainy day.’ The children know they must hold the recorder with their left hand and are working on playing their recorder softly. Keep the good work up Pelicans!

Well done Pelicans! We are so proud of how well you are doing with your new instrument. Tomorrow’s trip to the CLC will hopefully get you even more excited about what a great instrument the Recorder is! You will be using computer software to compose your own piece of music for a recorder quartet (that’s 4 recorders!).
