Today we were very lucky to have a visit from Father Oliver to discuss our new religion learning, The Sacrament of Reconciliation. He guided us through the steps towards reconciliation, explaining why it si important to take time to reflect and examine our conscience beforehand. Then we acted out a confession scenario, with one of us acting as the priest, we then discussed the purpose of penance and what an appopriate penance would be, some of us were very harsh and suggested 50 Hail Mary’s. We then reflected on how these steps would lead to us being forgiven, but Father Olvier reminded us that even when we do things wrong we our loved by God, just like in the parable of the Lost Sheep, which we will be learning about soon.
