This week Pelicans have been learning from home! We were the chosen class to trial out Remote Learning and we did BRILLIANTLY!

Miss Duncan was SO impressed with how quickly we adapted to learning online. The WHOLE class has been awarded the Friday Super Star certificate this week!

Miss Duncan’s favourite time of the day is story time! Despite us all being at home, we have still kept up with our end of the day routine. We are reading ‘The Wild Way Home’ by Sophie Kirtley. We already cannot wait to continue with this adventure story after half term.

We’ve all been working so hard. Have a look at some of our wonderful work below!

P.E.

Miss Duncan uploaded her own version of a Joe Wicks’ video on Google Classroom. While she wasn’t quite as skilled as him, some of the Pelicans were much more impressive and gave the activities a great effort!

Click here to watch F. attempt the challenge. The ending is hilarious!

Click here to watch L. attempt it!

Maths

We have been focusing on addition this week.

We’ve been continuing with our Fluency in Maths- practising different calculations and even using a virtual counting stick on Zoom!

We have used column addition to solve equations and word problems.

R.E.

In R.E., we have been reflecting on our topic this term, which was ‘The Bible.’
We chose a story from the Old Testament and answered questions, trying to reflect on how we can use Scripture in our lives today. We also drew pictures of some of these stories, and wrote prayers based on them.
