Today we visited the CLC. First, we discussed what we have been learning about Rainforests and deforestation.
We then used Scratch to create our own game! The game focused on deforestation which is linked to our topic and overarching question, ‘how does a changing environment pose a danger to living things in the rainforest?’
We created characters and coded them so that every time a tree was cut down, our character replanted a tree. We had to listen very carefully to understand how to use our logical reasoning skills, and to explain how simple algorithms work.

It was great at the CLC. I really enjoyed asking our games about deforestation!

Wow! I can’t believe that you got to create your own games linked to your topic of the Rainforests! Is there a way of playing them outside of the CLC?! I would love to have a go!

  3. This Was Fun! But The Coding Was Tricky. (Sort Of)?
