Learning about the Ancient Greeks through Art

On Wednesday Matthew, from the company Magic Lantern, visited us to teach us more about the Ancient Greeks through art. He showed us a statue of Zeus from the British Museum and paintings of myths from the National Gallery. We discussed the hidden clues in the art work and how the artist used different colours to focus the viewers’ attention. We also had fun pretending to be the people in the art work.

Remember over half term to write a review of this workshop with Matthew. You could get your article posted in the ’News’ newspaper which lots of schools subscribe to. If you decide to do this please make sure you write it on the computer, save it on an usb stick and bring it into to me on Monday!
