This morning we had a very special visit from Bishop Nicholas Hudson. Bishop Nicholas attended our whole school Assembly led by Year 6 (Condors)  at which he spoke about the Good Shepherd and his role in being like a shepherd, caring for and guiding schools and communities in the Diocese.image

Bishop Nicholas discussed what he wears in his role. He showed us his miter, crosier and pectoral cross.image

Next there was a wonderful opportunity to hear pupils from all across the school sharing the prayers they had created for their half term homework project. They read them beautifully and should be very proud of their efforts.

After Assembly, Bishop Nicholas visited each classroom throughout the school, blessing the pupils, staff and their “Book of Prayers”.

All pupils and staff were delighted to be part of such a unique and reverent experience. It is one we will remember fondly.

What did you most enjoy about Bishop Nicholas’ visit?
