Eagles have been reading ‘Streetchild’ by Berlie Doherty and have been writing balanced arguments for a prospective character decision.

The big question: To escape the awful Victorian Workhouse and face the unknown, or stay put and suffer the abuse?

Once the Eagles had written their arguements, they paired up to relay their pros and cons to the class. In particular, we focused on conditional sentences, modal verbs and comparing and contrasting conjunctions.

    Everybody did such a good job as they put a lot of hard work into it
