Today we learnt about the Hindu festival of Diwali.
We read the story of Rama and Sita and acted out the different scenes. We learnt about the importance of candles and light during this festival as in the story they showed Rama and Sita the way back to their home after the battle with Ravana. Then, we created and decorated our own Diwali lanterns.
