During the week we do lots of activities to help build our finger and hand strength and eye co-ordination such as cutting, sticking & threading beads.
On a Thursday afternoon, we specifically practise our fine motor skills. Last week, some of the activities we enjoyed were building and taking apart Lego, making patterns on the peg boards, making cube caterpillars following instruction cards, threading jewellery & using tweezers to move animals from one plate to another.
This is also a great time to have discussions with our friends and work on our language and communication skills. We also love when our math work comes into our play!
What fun activities can you do at home to build your finger & hand strength and help your eye co-ordination?
